Chris Low
Chris Low has taken photographs documenting his life and experiences since the age of ten. Since the early 1980s he published a number of fanzines and over the following years played drums for such punk bands as The Apostles, Oi Polloi and Part1 as well as DJing throughout Japan, America & Europe. He has written regularly for Vice amongst other publications and contributed to a number of books on the punk movement. This August an exhibition of his photography entitled “Up Yours!” was held at the Red Gallery in Shoreditch, London and a book of his photos documenting the Tokyo punk scene was published, followed by an exhibition in Tokyo in Oct 2016 with further shows scheduled for the Lethal Amounts Gallery, Los Angeles, in Jan-Feb and Koenji, Tokyo in March-April 2017. Chris is currently working on a compilation album for the renowned Optimo label and a revised and expanded edition of his photo-book: "Japanarchy Today". www.facebook.com/chrislow.ph0t0s
